The Power of Three - Bacchanalian Society of Bemuda
Wine Tasting
Friday, November 26, 2010
6:30pm - 11:00pm
@ National Sports Center Pavilion - North Field
Frog Lane, Devonshire, Bermuda
The Bacchanalian Society is a social organization formed to raise funds for local charities behind the disguise of a friendly wine tasting competition and is coupled with good conversation in a relaxing and enjoyable environment.
This event is being hosted for the Continental Society of Bermuda. The Continental Society is a local charity whose mission is "to create environments within the local community that empower children to... have access to quality and appropriate opportunities to reach their optimal potential."
The concept of the wine tasting is fun and easy and is based on teams of up to three persons only. Each Team must bring three (3) bottles of the same wine which matches the varietal for the evening. If the group is four persons, it will need to break down into two teams of two with each team still bringing three (3) bottles. The bottles are covered and blind tested.
At the end, the winning teams will take home prizes. There is even a prize for the team whose wine choice was ranked the lowest!
The varietal for this event is European Whites.
Have a taste around for the European white wine you think will rank highest among those attending, bring three of those bottles and let the fun begin.
Admission for first-time participating teams is $30 per person. Those teams which have attended previous events pay $20 per person. The Bacchanalian Society will then make a donation to the Continental Society of Bermuda to aid their cause.
Please RSVP your team indicating the number of participants (you plus one or two, as the case may be) by calling 291-1474
